Job Description

This opening presents a unique opportunity for aspiring or moderately experienced landscape designers on track for licensure to work with a landscape architecture and planning studio that has a unique focus on community engagement and participatory process. This is a salaried, full-time position.

Position Responsibilities

The Landscape Designer at Anthropopulus Design + Planning will work closely with the landscape architects on various projects with some project management opportunities. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of site documentation and analysis diagrams

  • Researching and documenting findings for precedent and case study review

  • Site, planting, and irrigation design and construction documentation

  • Construction administration

  • Developing outreach materials including flyers, social media posts, and presentation materials

  • Developing visual representation including plans, sections, and renderings

  • Assisting with community engagement activities and outreach

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture or a related field

  • Basic understanding of site, planting, and irrigation design

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Competency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment

  • Ability to manage and prioritize work requests from multiple sources

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with consultants, community organizations, government officials, and the public

  • Willingness to pitch-in and be a team player in a small office environment
