NMASLA- Ancestral Lands and Climate Leadership

New Mexico ASLA (NMASLA) is very excited to announce two guest speakers from the Ancestral Lands Conservation Corps (ALCC) will be joining us at our upcoming webinar on Thursday, August 14th from 12:00-1:00pm. Mr. Chas Robles, Executive Director, and Mr. Ryan Aguilar, Individual Placements Program Director, will discuss ALCC's models, as well as opportunities to partner with NMASLA, landscape architects, and professionals to increase their capacity, identify climate-solutions, support community, and develop the next generation of conservation and landscape professionals.

ALCC partners with Tribal, federal, state, and local partners to accomplish impactful and lasting conservation service projects. ALCC works to build and support sustainable public access, historical interpretation, and ecological health through internships and crew-based models that remove barriers to its members participation and support their success. ALCC creates paid service and career training opportunities, personal and professional development, and pathways to postsecondary education and employment while completing important environmental and conservation projects.
