Design Office is a regionally based award-winning landscape architecture and planning firm. We are seeking a talented and experienced project landscape architect or designer to join our Santa Fe, NM office. Our current work includes innovative parks, trails, infrastructure, affordable housing, residential, and environmental signage in northern New Mexico. We are committed to design excellence in the creation of landscapes that are sustainable and are ecologically and culturally appropriate.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

- Landscape Architecture licensure; arborist, horticulturist or other certifications a plus

- MLA or BLA degree with 3-5 years of relevant office experience

- Excellent research, design, problem-solving, and graphic presentation abilities as evidenced by work samples

- Experience developing details, preparing high-quality construction document sets, and coordinating with consultant teams

- Experience with construction administration, including on-site observation, field reports, and review of shop drawings

- Collaborative team member with positive attitude and enthusiasm for high level design

- Demonstrates excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks

- Professionalism in all communications and interactions

- Facility with balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and management demands

- Outstanding AutoCAD and GIS skills (SketchUp is a plus), and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite

• Experience in the preparation of contract documents (knowledge of construction materials and methods, plant materials, irrigation design and cost estimation).

• Comfortable working on multiple projects to meet internal and external project deadlines.
