Mentorship Application Form
The NMASLA Mentorship Program is an outstanding opportunity for students to develop their professional skills outside of the classroom through the guidance of a professional in the community. Please read the expectations below to determine if you will be able to make commitments needed to make your mentoring relationship a success. Then if you would like to participate please complete the application below.
Participate in kick-off event with your student (NMASLA Student/Professional Mixer, September 26th)
Participate in regular contact with your student via phone, e-mail, or by scheduling meetings.
Meet your student at least once each month (October-April) or more often as determined by you and your student (suggestions for meetings will be provided)
Act in a professional manner at all times.
Return phone calls and e-mail correspondence from your mentor/student.
Complete program evaluation(s) when requested.
Contact the program administrator and the student immediately if circumstances require that you stop participation in the mentorship program.
Notify the program administrator if you feel your student is not fulfilling his or her responsibilities.
