Experienced Landscape Architect - MRWM

During forty-five years of professional practice and through the completion of over 4,000 projects, MRWM has furthered the appreciation of landscape architecture as a means of improving the quality of life in urban and rural settings throughout New Mexico, the Southwest United States and beyond.

We are seeking a landscape architect with 3-10 years of experience to join our team. 

Candidates must be creative, energetic, self-motivated, possess strong communication and critical thinking skills, and the ability to take personal initiative in their work environment. Current licensure is preferred but not required.  Candidates must have strong writing and graphic skills, and the capacity to learn new skills quickly.  An undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited landscape architecture program is required, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and MS Office software.  Proficiency with SketchUp is preferred, but not required.  Thorough plant knowledge and the ability to develop complete irrigation system plans and details is also preferred, but not required.

This is a project management level position and requires the ability to independently provide a full range of landscape architectural services on projects of all sizes.  Typical work skills required include:

  • Mentoring, organizing and directing junior level staff.
  • Preparation and coordination of complete construction documents including technical specifications and cost estimates.
  • Evaluation, selection and approval of materials and products.
  • Assisting with day to day construction administration activities.
  • Working with other staff members in a team environment.
  • Collaborating and communicating with professionals of other disciplines.
